Job Title: Housekeeping Manager
Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated Housekeeping Manager to oversee the janitorial staff and supervisors at our large assembly plant. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing general housekeeping tasks, including floor scrubbing, restroom maintenance, office cleaning, and trash disposal. This role requires strong management skills to hold team members accountable and address union-related issues.
Responsibilities
+ Supervise janitorial staff and supervisors.
+ Oversee general housekeeping, including floor scrubbing, restroom maintenance, office cleaning, and trash disposal.
+ Manage team schedules and hold team members accountable.
+ Address union-related issues.
+ Operate and troubleshoot cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers, buffers, and carpet cleaners.
+ Coach and train team members to adhere to union standards.
Essential Skills
+ 4+ years of supervisory experience in janitorial or housekeeping within a manufacturing environment with UAW personnel.
+ Experience operating and troubleshooting cleaning equipment.
+ Proficiency in using Microsoft Office, email, Teams, and data entry.
+ Ability to coach and train team members and hold them accountable to union standards.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience creating spreadsheets.
+ Union experience within a hospital or other unionized settings for janitors or housekeepers.

Work Environment
You will be working in a very large assembly plant spanning 3,000,000 sq. ft. The facility is three stories high and operates 24/7. While the general shift for management is the 1st shift (7am-3:30pm, Mon-Fri), flexibility is required to help cover other shifts. Potential shifts include: 2nd Shift (3pm-11:30pm, Mon-Fri), 3rd Shift (11pm-7:30am, Mon-Fri), and weekend shifts that may vary.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Flint, Michigan.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $36.06 - $36.06/hr.
