Lab Assistant
Job Type: Full-time
Job Description: The Lab Assistant will support laboratory operations by performing various tasks including sample preparation, data collection, and equipment maintenance. This role is essential for ensuring the smooth functioning of our lab and contributing to our research and development efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Receive and organize laboratory samples.
+ Ensure samples are undamaged and have not leaked.
+ Place samples in the correct area of the fridge.
+ Label samples accurately.
+ Handle samples such as urine, blood, or stool for Chemistry, Microbiology, Cytology, and other departments.
+ Remain on your feet throughout the shift.
Skills:
+ Medical processing
+ Data entry
+ Sample preparation and management
+ Chemistry and biology
+ Laboratory techniques (wet chemistry, microbiology, analytic methods, HPLC)
+ Aliquoting, pipetting, accessioning
+ Clinical laboratory procedures
+ Sample testing
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
+ High School Diploma or GED.
+ Comfortable working with bodily samples.
+ Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
+ Ability to work on your feet all day.
+ Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
+ Very repetitive, high-volume position.
+ Must be self-sufficient.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.06 - $20.06/hr.
