    Job Title: Embedded Linux Engineer

    Job Description

    This role will demonstrate a high level of expertise in firmware development. Responsible for leading firmware projects, this role will provide technical guidance, participate in architectural decisions, and contribute to the improvement of development processes. This role requires a solid understanding of embedded systems, proficiency in coding and debugging, and the ability to solve complex problems independently.

    Responsibilities

    + Develop, debug, and test complex firmware for a wide variety of processor architectures.

    + Troubleshoot and resolve firmware-related issues.

    + Contribute to the architecture and design of firmware systems.

    + Develop comprehensive testing strategies.

    + Validate firmware functionality and performance.

    + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align decisions with business goals.

    + Act as a team contributor with some technical leadership, providing guidance, anticipating, and preventing issues.

    + Plan, implement, and optimize complex solutions, leading the design and development of medium-sized projects.

    + Apply advanced tools and methods to solve complex problems, tackling technical challenges, and contributing to troubleshooting efforts.

    + Contribute to IP creation and navigate IP considerations when working with partners.

    Essential Skills

    + 3+ years of experience in firmware development using C, C++, Embedded Linux (excluding co-ops/internships).

    + Experience working in a regulated industry (medical device, automotive, aerospace/defense).

    + 3+ years of experience with microcontrollers/microprocessors.

    + Ability to create object libraries, applications, daemons, and drivers deployed inside embedded hardware devices.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + QT experience.

    + GUI experience.

    Work Environment

    This position will be working in a highly collaborative team environment. The main campus has roughly 5-6 different buildings, including a newer headquarters with an open desk concept. There is a cafeteria, work facility, and medical clinic on site.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $48.08 - $75.00/hr.
