    General Production Worker

    Job Description

    We produce paper products for various companies and industries, including cigarette boxes, beer bottle labels, food labels, and more. The manufacturing process involves coating, where paper is metalized and coated to make it shiny, and slitting, where it is cut to size for the products. Candidates will work in coating or slitting, within a 3-person team to operate the machines.

    Responsibilities

    + Operate coating or slitting machines as part of a 3-person team.

    + Shadow and assist operators during the contract period.

    + Utilize computerized controls to manage machinery operations.

    + Troubleshoot and make small adjustments to machinery as needed.

    + Handle heavy rolls of material using forklifts (training provided if necessary).

    Essential Skills

    + Minimum of 1 year recent machine operating experience (ideally 2 years).

    + Mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting and making adjustments.

    + Computer literacy for operating computerized controls.

    + Experience with coating machines, slitter machines, and overhead cranes.

    + Forklift operation experience.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Capability to troubleshoot machines.

    + Preferred but not required: Forklift experience.

    + Prior experience in a coating/slitting company is a plus.

    Work Environment

     

    The company currently operates on three shifts and is looking to add a fourth shift. Shift details are as follows: D1: Sun, Mon, Tue, every other Wed 7am-7pm; D2: every other Wed, Thu, Fri, Sat 7am-7pm; N1: Sun, Mon, Tue, Wed 7pm-7am (with a 1.25 shift differential). Employees receive two 15-minute breaks and a 30-minute lunch during their 12-hour shifts, all of which are paid.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Franklin, Massachusetts.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
