    Job Title: Warehouse Worker / Forklift Operator

    Job Description

    We are seeking a diligent and reliable Warehouse Worker to load and unload Natural Stone slabs onto various types of vehicles and A-frames using forklifts. The role includes ensuring the accuracy and quality of incoming and outgoing orders, safely unloading overseas containers, assisting sales associates and visiting customers, maintaining warehouse cleanliness and order, and following all safety standards and guidelines. Training on forklift operation will be provided upon contract conversion.

    Responsibilities

    + Load and unload Natural Stone slabs onto different types of vehicles and A-frames utilizing forklifts.

    + Assure accuracy and quality of incoming and outgoing orders.

    + Unload overseas containers safely and efficiently.

    + Assist sales associates and visiting customers.

    + Maintain warehouse cleanliness and order.

    + Follow all safety standards and guidelines.

    + Perform other duties as assigned.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience in shipping and receiving.

    + Material handling proficiency.

    + Forklift operation experience and certification.

    + Warehouse management skills.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Minimum height requirement for safety (5'10") to clamp the top of large marble slabs.

    + Ability to lift 70lbs and spend at least 5 hours a day on feet.

    + Working knowledge of handling granite and marble slabs is a plus.

    + Strong shipping and receiving experience.

    + High school diploma or equivalent education preferred.

    Work Environment

     

    The work environment includes an 8am - 4:45pm shift, Monday through Friday. This is a marble/tile warehouse where customers will be shopping in the showroom. The role is a 4-month contract with a competitive hourly pay rate.

    This is a 4+ month contract position based out of SAN CARLOS, California.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $30.00/hr.
