Job Title: Material Handler Forklift
Job Description
The Distribution Material Handler is responsible for quality control, sorting, and maintaining the flow of materials through the distribution system. This role involves ensuring that all distribution goals are met, anticipating problems that could impact long-term goals, and establishing high standards of workmanship. Effective communication and maintaining positive relations with all internal levels of the organization are imperative.
Responsibilities
+ Pick and pack to ensure all orders are pulled and packaged properly to be loaded.
+ Ensure all orders are loaded properly on the correct trailer and all paperwork is complete so the orders can ship.
+ Develop and maintain a clean, safe working environment and ensure participation in safety programs and required trainings.
+ Consistently demonstrate and incorporate principles of safety for self and others into daily activities.
+ Sort and move product interdepartmentally while operating and using a variety of material handling equipment, including forklifts and hand-helds.
+ Perform all duties in a manner that promotes team concept and encourages team effort.
+ Perform other duties as assigned that would lead to the successful operation of the department, team, and/or company mission.
Essential Skills
+ Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds.
+ Ability to stand, bend, and walk for long periods of time.
+ Ability to work on assigned tasks while portraying excellent teamwork mentality.
+ Problem-solving skills and innovative solutions.
+ Dynamic self-motivation and ability to work a flexible schedule.
+ Ability to maintain positive morale within the workforce.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ High school diploma or GED.
+ Must have worked at an employer for at least 12 consecutive months in the past 3 years.
+ Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs routinely.
+ Must be able to read a tape measure and use hand and power tools.
+ Experience with forklifts, inventory, loading, lifting, hand power tools, carpentry, framing, tape measure, saw operation, door installation, construction, heavy lifting, assembly line, and paint shop.

Work Environment
The location consists of two large buildings, each with several long paint lines run by two workers. The environment, despite being spaced out, is very warm due to the automated lines. The facility is very well-lit, and steel toes, safety glasses, and hearing protection are required.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.95 - $18.95/hr.
