Flexographic Printing Press Operator
**Location:** Mukilteo, WA
**Shift:** 5 AM - 3:30 PM
**Pay:** $25+/hr, based on experience.
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Flexographic Printing Press Operator to join our team. This role involves operating flexo printing presses, ensuring high-quality print production, and maintaining the press equipment.
Responsibilities
+ Read job orders and load dies into the press.
+ Install print cylinder on shaft and in press.
+ Fill ink pans, screens, and pumps with prescribed inks.
+ Start press, adjusting speed and alignment of stock to the print cylinder as necessary.
+ Engage print cylinders; adjust printing impression as necessary, place print cylinders lead-to-lead, and run down approval strip.
+ Cut sample of approval strip from printed roll and inspect for imperfections such as print-to-print out of register, print-to-die out of register, missing impression, ink starvation or color adjustments, making adjustments as necessary.
+ Clean plates, print cylinders, and dies as needed, perform daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance as required.
+ Mix inks to produce and maintain desired colors and viscosity.
+ Keep work areas clear and organized; maintain housekeeping standards.
Essential Skills
+ Minimum one year of flexographic printing press experience.
+ Understanding of measurements and basic math skills.
+ Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
+ Specific vision abilities including close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
+ Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
+ Ability to read and interpret ruler, scales, and other measurement devices.

Work Environment
You will be working in a custom label-making company that primarily supports wineries, breweries, and distilleries, as well as household products, personal care, medical, and pharmaceutical industries. The role requires standing regularly and walking frequently. The work environment encourages cleanliness and organization.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
