    DATTCO has a full-time Lead Technician opening at our School Bus Fleet Maintenance location in Westport, CT.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    + Plan, direct and coordinate the activities of the maintenance shop

    + Coordinate dispatch and maintenance with the School Bus Division

    + Maintain good customer relations

    + Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with DATTCO-s policies and procedures and all applicable laws

    + Ability to train, coach and develop staff

    + Performs scheduled preventive maintenance and service inspections on a variety of vehicles

    + Performs diagnostic and repair work

    + Completes required paperwork with regards to repair orders and parts usage

    + Makes road calls

    + Owns and maintains the proper hand tools to perform job functions

    Position Requirements:

    + High school diploma or equivalent

    + Minimum of 3 years- experience in the field of automotive, truck or bus repair

    + Reliable, motivated and have a strong work ethic

    + Skills to sufficiently diagnose and repair heavy-duty vehicles

    + CT driver-s license

    + Hold, or be eligible to possess, a CDL license

    + Hold, or be willing to work toward, ASE certifications

    + Possess the physical strength to safely perform all required tasks

    + Must possess adequate verbal and written communication skills in English
