Treasure Valley Hospital is seeking a skilled and compassionate X-Ray Technician to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in delivering high-quality patient care by performing diagnostic imaging procedures under the direction of a physician or licensed healthcare provider.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Perform a variety of X-ray procedures, ensuring proper patient positioning, technique, and safety.
+ Capture high-quality diagnostic images with a repeat rate of 2% or less, prioritizing accuracy and efficiency.
+ Implement radiation safety protocols, including the use of protective shielding and monitoring radiation exposure.
+ Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations, ensuring equipment is properly maintained and documented.
+ Serve as a liaison between patients, physicians, and medical staff, providing professional and compassionate patient interactions.
+ Assist with orthopedic procedures, including the removal of splints and braces, as needed.
+ Support physicians with back-office duties, such as rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, and documenting patient histories.
+ Perform clerical tasks, including scheduling, filing, and processing medical records.
+ Ensure a clean, organized, and compliant work environment in accordance with hospital policies.
Physical Requirements:
+ Frequent sitting, standing, walking, and occasional squatting, kneeling, and crouching to assist patients.
+ Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, with or without mechanical assistance.
+ Manual dexterity and coordination for operating radiology equipment, computers, and office devices.
+ Continuous computer screen usage and telephone communication.
+ Normal vision and hearing required for patient care and equipment operation.
+ Strong multitasking, organizational, and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.
+ Ability to remain calm and professional when handling stressful situations or difficult patient interactions.
+ Effective verbal and written communication skills for team collaboration and patient care.
+ High level of confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive information.
Work Environment:
+ Work within a radiology department, operating imaging equipment and following strict safety guidelines.
+ Potential exposure to ionizing radiation, communicable diseases, and medical substances.
+ Occasional travel may be required for patient care coverage or training.

Qualifications
Education:
+ High school diploma or completion of a radiologic technology program approved by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or a CDPH-RHB-approved California Radiologic Technology School.
+ Current certification and licensure with the ARRT and the California Department of Health or a CDPH-RHB-approved California Radiologic Technology School.
Certification/Licensure:
+ CPR certification for Healthcare Providers.
Experience:
+ Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a clinical and/or hospital setting.
Skills & Competencies:
+ Proficiency in taking vital signs and assisting with various treatments and medication administration.
+ Strong ability to maintain quality control standards.
+ Exceptional multitasking skills with the ability to efficiently manage multiple priorities.
+ Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work effectively with patients, medical staff, and other team members.
+ Ability to handle interactions with difficult individuals professionally and tactfully.
