Quality Custom Distribution is seeking CDL A Drivers to work out of our Franklin Park Location

For immediate consideration please text our recruiter (Elliott) 303-997-2657. We are seeking drivers that have 100% touch freight experience. Must be able to work weekends and do layover routes.

Driver Info

+ This is 100% touch freight delivery, must be able to complete all task

+ All trucks are equipped with left gates, dollies, pallet jacks

+ Union position

+ 4 days on 3 days off (Working weekends are Mandatory)

+ Start times are between 1pm - 4pm, 10-to-14-hour shifts.

+ We cover all of Chicago to include downtown, as far north as Green Bay, Wisc.

+ 10-15 stops per day

+ $34.95/hr. weekdays, $36.95/weekends

+ 5thand 6thday hourly premium 10.82/hr.

+ Driver average 40 to 50 hours a week.

+ 1 year of recent active CDL A experience. Having Food delivery experience is a plus

Responsibilities

+ Transport finished goods and raw materials over land to and from QCD plant to local Starbuck stores.

+ Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance

+ Plan routes and meet delivery schedules

+ Document and log work/rest periods and miles spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts

+ Input “macros” into our automated system for each stage of the loading and unloading process

+ Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures

+ Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions

+ Collect and verify delivery instructions

+ Report defects, accidents or violations

Responsibilities

Position Summary (Job Description):

Performs daily transportation functions as directed by Supervisor. Operates diesel-powered tractor-trailer

combination trucks to transport and deliver products. Drives truck to destination, applying knowledge

of commercial driving regulations and skill in maneuvering vehicles in difficult situations, such as narrow

passageways. Inspects trucks for defects before and after trips and submits report indicating truck conditions.

Maintains driver log according to DOTregulations and other federal and company required records/logs.

May be required to perform product backhaul when returning from dispatched route. Unloads/loads

product at store with assistance from store personnel.

30 Drives to predetermined store locations per route schedule, applying knowledge of commercial

driving regulations and skill in maneuvering vehicle.

5 Maintains driver log, trip and mileage records according to FMCSA regulations. Complies with all

DOT rules and regulations regarding hours of service, licensing, safety and equipment operation.

2 Maintain company quality and performance standards.

1 Report unusual conditions and problems to supervisor.

1 Observe company safety rules and regulations.

5 Practice good housekeeping.

5 Positions/check load securing equipment to secure cargo during transit. Inspects vehicles

for defects before, during and after trips, submits report indicating equipment condition.

1 Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Qualifications Required of this Position:

Must possess a valid driver's license and possess a current DOT Medical certification card. One (1) year

driving tractor-trailer experience. Must be able to effectively communicate to maintain positive customer

relations climate with other drivers/warehouse personnel/customers/supervisors. Capable of standing,

walking and repeatedly climbing into and out of road tractor or switch tractor. Must be able to work all

necessary work schedules, including holidays/weekends. Requires safely operating equipment in extremes

of weather and climatic conditions and insure working in a cold environment (cooler/freezer). Must

be able to frequently lift/handle cases ranging from 5-50 pounds.
