Pressroom Production Manager
What does a successful Pressroom Production Manager do at Fiserv?
The Pressroom Production Manager is at the helm of a comprehensive printing operation, taking charge of a team of press operators and silk screen operators. Your primary responsibility lies in ensuring impeccable quality control, orchestrating production schedules, and meticulously maintaining equipment. Deeply engaged with clients, the you will prioritize the prompt and cost-effective delivery of manufactured credit cards, all while remaining up to date with cutting-edge printing technologies and industry standards. As the driving force behind the print production facility, your leadership guarantees the seamless execution of projects, with a steadfast commitment to efficiency and unwavering high standards.
What you will do:
+ Prioritize, schedule, and delegate work assignments, overseeing silk screen and press room staff to ensure high-quality, cost-effective production.
+ Coordinate production schedules, including print runs, finishing, and delivery, ensuring efficient workflow and timely order fulfillment.
+ Conduct analysis of press room operations, recommending improvements to enhance productivity and quality.
+ Actively participate in cross-functional teams to drive ongoing process improvement, maintain quality, and reduce costs.
+ Foster relationships with vendors and suppliers, negotiating costs and ensuring high-quality material delivery.
+ Coordinate the scheduling of press maintenance to minimize production disruptions.
+ Oversee pre-production planning activities, including file preparation, pre-press, and proofing.
+ Monitor product quality, provide constructive feedback to the production team, and manage the performance and development of direct reports through coaching and positive reinforcement.
What you will need to have:
+ 5+ years of experience in print production management or a related field, preferably at a managerial or supervisory level within the industry.
+ 5+ years of experience with industry-specific regulations, standards, and print methodologies.
+ 5+ years of experience in leading cross-functional projects and initiatives.
+ Experience with different print production techniques and processes, including offset, digital, and large format printing.
+ Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Business Administration, or an equivalent combination of education and/or military experience.
What would be great to have:
+ 5+ years of experience in developing and implementing quality metrics and systems.
+ Experience with continuous improvement methodologies such as lean manufacturing, six sigma, kaizen.
+ Proven track record of handling customer feedback and driving product quality improvements.
