If selected, you will help lead the development, oversight, and coordination of large-scale, multi-year grant initiatives funded by federal, state, and local sources. You'll collaborate with county leadership, departments, and external partners, bringing your skills in planning, meeting facilitation, and regulatory analysis, to ensure programs are managed effectively and in full compliance with federal, state, and local guidelines.

About the Position
In this role, you will support the development, oversight, and success of impactful grant-funded programs across the county.
Special Note: This position is a time-limited role. In this time-limited role, your position may be maintained until December 31, 2026 . You will be eligible for benefits and retirement, but will lack retention rights to your position.
Key Responsibilities include...
Operational Program Development & Oversight
+ Collaborate with the Division Manager to enhance grant-funded programs through planning, implementation, and process improvement.
+ Develop tools, reports, and guidance materials to support internal and external stakeholders.
+ Ensure compliance with federal grant regulations and provide expert guidance across the organization.
+ Monitor federal program updates and recommend adjustments to minimize financial risk.
+ Present updates, findings, and recommendations to leadership and elected officials, including in public board meetings.
+ Assist with eGenda tracking and program initiation.
Subrecipient Management & Monitoring
+ Lead negotiations and develop subrecipient agreements with compliance and performance metrics.
+ Conduct monitoring (onsite and desk-based) to ensure subrecipients meet program and fiscal requirements.
+ Review and process subrecipient reports and reimbursement requests.
+ Document any findings and corrective actions (as needed).
Grant Reporting & Tracking
+ Monitor fiscal and program progress, identifying and communicating areas for improvement.
+ Review and compile financial documentation for federal and internal reporting systems.
+ Coordinate with stakeholders to collect, analyze, and submit quarterly and annual reports.
+ Assist in budget development and adjustments using county fiscal systems.
About the Schedule
Work Hours:
+ Full-time, 40 hours per week.
+ Typical Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. ( no weekends! )
+ eWork Eligible: Yes, after completing the 6-month probationary period, employees are eligible for 1-2 days of working remotely, depending on business needs.

About You
To be considered for this role, you must have the following:
+ Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Purchasing, Public Administration, Business, Finance, or a job-related field -WITH- three (3) years public or private sector job-related experience.
+ -OR– Seven (7) years professional job-related experience can be substituted at management discretion for the required education.
The ideal candidate has the following knowledge, skills, and/or abilities:

+ Master’s degree in Public Administration, Business, Finance, Planning, or a job-related field.
+ Two (2) years of federal grant experience, to include those working with or administering federal housing programs.
+ Knowledge of federal grant requirements and program guidance.
+ Strong communication and stakeholder guidance skills.
+ Independent decision-making, organization, and goal-setting.
+ Experienced in leading time-sensitive projects and building relationships.
+ Proficient in clear reporting and documentation.
About Everything Else
Starting Pay Range: $65,000.00 - $69,000.00
