Proven experience with a strong portfolio showcasing web/application development projects.
Job Description:
Custom development work
Troubleshooting, debugging, research, & addressing help requests
Providing technical support, identifying or developing enhancements and improvements to existing software applications while working with faculty, staff and students.
Ensuring project goals and scope are appropriate and are met in a timely and efficient manner.
Working with college administration to maintain a high level of understanding of the unit’s business functions and priorities. Providing training, advice and direction to other team members as required. Ensuring that all team members understand project goals, strategies and tools.
Expected Salary:
$100,000 - $115,000 commensurate with experience
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience; or a high school diploma or equivalent and six years of experience. Appropriate college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.
Preferred:
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work both independently and with a team.
Experience with Material UI and/or React Bootstrap.
Experience creating and troubleshooting build processes.
Proficiency in front-end technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (including frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js), and responsive design principles.
Expertise in back-end technologies such as Node.js, Python, ASP.NET Core, or similar, along with database management systems (e.g., SQL, SQL Server, Firebase, Snowflake).
Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git), RESTful APIs, and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) is desirable.
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively and efficiently in mature professional environment.
Knowledge of C# (ASP.NET Core) or Python (Flask or Django) or ExpressJS.
Ability to work with IIS, LAMP, or Node stack.
Bonus points if you have previous experience with UF Data Models.
