    Description

    At the American Public Power Association (APPA), we serve as the voice of not-for-profit, community-owned utilities that power 2,000 towns and cities nationwide. We represent public power before the federal government to protect the interests of the more than 54 million people that public power utilities serve, and the 96,000 people they employ. We advocate and advise on electricity policy, technology, trends, training, and operations. Help us continue to achieve our mission for our members and the communities they serve!

    This is an in-office position which requires the incumbent to reside in the Washington, DC metropolitan area and come into the office three days each week (with Tuesdays being a mandatory day), working 21 hours per week. This internship will be from June - August 2025.

     

    We have an exciting opportunity for anIntegrated Media Internto assist in organizing and updating the association’s graphic and communications assets. Tasks will include indexing the image library and other assets alongside APPA’s taxonomy and other metadata. This intern should have good written and oral communication skills and a good grasp on what’s needed to make different forms of digital content accessible to a wide variety of users.

    Requirements

    + Excellent writing skills

    + Strong communication abilities

    + Good time management

    + Self-starter

    + Experience with the following applications: Microsoft SharePoint / OneDrive, Adobe Photoshop or other photo editing software, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel.
