This position is eligible for a sign on bonus; up to $10,000!
Responsibilities:
+ Administer contrast according to protocols under proceduralist's direction
+ Demonstrate proper positioning and radiographic techniques for interventional procedures.
+ Ensure correct patient preparation, equipment operation, and patient monitoring.
+ Identify patients using two identifiers and follow universal protocol during procedures.
+ Review patient history and physician orders, applying departmental protocols for optimal data acquisition.
+ Document patient history in electronic records as required.
+ Maintain aseptic technique and patient safety, incorporating a time-out process.
+ Communicate instructions clearly to patients, explaining procedures to alleviate fears and gain cooperation.
+ Code and track exams through RIS system, network exams to ISITE for archiving and interpretation, and enter charges for performed exams.
+ Interact effectively with patients and co-workers, displaying care, listening, dignity, and respect; support other departments with general radiographic procedures as needed.
Shifts: This position is Monday-Friday, but can be on-call for evenings and weekends. The shifts are: 7a-3p, 7:30a-3:30p ,8a-4p, 8:30a-4:30p, 9a-5p
Qualifications:
+ Graduate of an ARRT approved school of Radiologic Technology or an accredited program in invasive cardiovascular technology.
+ CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire.
+ .Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within 1 year of hire/transfer.
+ ARRT Certificate OR Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist OR Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialists
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
+ BLS required within 30 days of hire/transfer
+ Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting
+ Act 33
+ Act 34
+ Act 73 FBI Clearance
