Plans and implements Annual Giving Department programs and initiatives that focus on raising dollars and donors to meet departmental goals and objectives as well as contributing toward the Foundation's short and long-term goals and objectives. The Associate Director, Annual Giving, will provide oversight for annual giving programs with a focus on increasing the annual revenue to support UPMC's greatest needs, support for free and uncompensated care, and other philanthropic priorities as determined by the Foundation's executive leadership.
Responsibilities:
+ Improve and/or support others in improving the health and well-being of all patients through excellence in patient care, teaching, and research.
+ Establish annual and long-term goals and metrics for programs and initiatives with an emphasis on donor acquisition, donor retention, and revenue growth.
+ Manage operational resources efficiently to achieve and maintain an approved cost per dollar raised ratio as well as maximize fundraising potential. Participate in setting the department budget and track expenses against the approved budget.
+ Create, plan, implement and manage programs that promote revenue growth and engage the community in support of the Hospital's philanthropic needs and the Foundation's revenue goals. Involve various constituencies and promote the hospital as a charity of choice by using a variety of methods and vehicles such as direct mail, corporate cause-marketing, workplace giving, third-party fundraising, online giving and personal solicitations.
+ Provide leadership, direction and training to staff to deliver and execute programs of the highest quality and service; establish and implement processes and procedures that enable efficiency in program execution.
+ Demonstrate leadership in working across departments with other colleagues to cultivate creativity and problem-solving, achieve quality and efficiency and promote teamwork in support of departmental and Foundation goals.
+ Maintain accurate and consistent donor records in keeping with established and future policies and procedures.
+ Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or related area and 3 years experience required.
+ Experience in non-profit organizations preferred.
+ Direct experience in special event planning and corporate/community partnership development preferred.
