Job Title:Financial Case Manager
Employment Type:Full-Time, Monday - Friday 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM
Job Summary:
The Financial Case Manager plays a key role in helping clients navigate health insurance eligibility and enrollment. Working closely with clinical and administrative staff, this position supports the financial accessibility of care by ensuring clients are connected to appropriate insurance resources and services. The role may also involve transporting clients to local Department of Social Services (DSS) offices and serving as a liaison between FLACRA and community benefit providers.
Must-Have Qualifications:
+ High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
+ Valid NYS Driver’s License.
+ One year of administrative experience.
+ Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications:
+ Associate’s Degree or higher in a related field.
+ Experience in a medical office setting.
+ Office management experience.
Job Requirements:
Key Responsibilities:
+ Review client records to verify insurance status and identify eligibility opportunities
+ Collaborate with therapists and clients to review insurance options and documentation requirements
+ Assist clients in obtaining necessary paperwork and transportation to DSS offices as needed
+ Notify primary therapists of insurance updates and any barriers to client eligibility
+ Provide timely documentation of insurance outcomes and client enrollment status to program units
+ Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA, FLACRA confidentiality policies, and all applicable compliance procedures
+ Build and maintain effective relationships with DSS and other external agencies
+ Represent FLACRA with professionalism and compassion in all client and partner interactions
+ Report suggestions, concerns, or obstacles to supervisors in a timely manner
+ Perform other duties as assigned by leadership
Skills & Qualifications:
+ Strong interpersonal and communication skills
+ Ability to work collaboratively with culturally diverse individuals, staff, and external agencies
+ Working knowledge of Department of Social Services insurance eligibility requirements
+ Familiarity with substance use disorders (AOD) and behavioral health services is preferred
+ Ability to multitask and maintain composure in high-pressure or crisis situations
+ Organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
