SUMMARY OF POSITION FUNCTION:

POEMS is Prevention of Emotional Mental Stress. Assigned to one or more elementary school settings to provide psychoeducation/skill building services through individual and group format.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

+ Perform as a high performing team member with the values that support trust, interdependencies and teamwork consistently in the work environment.

+ Provides group and individual prevention services

+ Perform Intakes

+ Records data needed to complete MH Department reporting requirements

+ Utilizes the approved group program PATHS

+ Coordinates with other staff and school personnel

SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:

+ ABILITY TO FORM POSITIVE RELATIONSHIPS WITH SCHOOL AND COMMUNITY PERSONNEL

+ ABILITY TO FORM POSITIVE RELATIONSHIPS WITH CHILDREN AND FAMILIES BEING SERVED

+ ABILITY TO FOLLOW THE APPROVED EVIDENCED BASED CURRICULUM

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

+ Minimum Associate’s degree in related field

+ (4 year) Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred

+ Proven experience/education in behavioral health services

EXPERIENCE:

+ One year Experience in behavioral health services

+ Two years’ Experience or education in children

+ Must possess a valid Driver’s License with a satisfactory driving record, and possess a personal vehicle for job requirement

COMPENSATION: $20.08/hr - $25.60/hr
