    Our coding professionals are committed to the management of coded health care information in order to maintain the most accurate reimbursement, tracking and reporting for the organization’s medical and billing records. Activities include the processing of billing codes for professional medical services and communication with physicians and Revenue Management staff to ensure that the transfer of information is accurate and secure and in compliance with Federal and State laws and regulations.

     

    If you have excellent communication skills and are gifted with numbers, you could be our next Physician Liaison Coder. This position works with coders, physicians and Revenue Management staff to ensure accurate and complete coding of all physician services; provides research assistance on coding and documentation issues; monitors and trends denial and/or payment; analyzes physician’s coding/documentation; and educates physicians on coding/documentation guidelines to ensure regulatory compliance. We are looking for someone with meticulous analytical ability and attention to data integrity, enthusiasm for working in a collaborative, team-oriented environment and a commitment to our vision of delivering the highest quality health care to Hawai‘i’s people.

    **Minimum Qualifications:** Certified Procedural Coder Certification (CPC). Knowledge of clinical coding system, i.e. International Classification of Diseases (ICD), Current Procedural Terminology (CPT), Diagnosis Related Groups (DRGs) or Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System (HCPCS). Three (3) years billing/clerical/clinical experience in health care to include at least one year ICD/CPT coding experience.

    **Preferred Qualifications:** Associate’s degree. Knowledge of physician payor contracts and services. Previous Training experience.
