Software Engineer Intern

Peerless Instrument, a business unit of Curtiss-Wright Corporation is seeking a Software Engineering Intern at our Farmingdale location. This location develops circuit cards and associated software for instrumentation and control of sensors used on a variety of platforms. Software Intern positions offer a variety of learning opportunities including basic engineering tasks related to design, analysis, test, and integration.

**Location:** East Farmingdale, NY.

**Hourly pay:** $19.00 - $20.00 an hour

Your Challenge

+ Source code analysis, design, documentation, maintenance, troubleshooting, tool chain selection, test fixture design and process automation.

+ Support one or more experienced engineers in performance of assignments.

+ Shadow actual operations, and have unique assignments that support larger projects, as well as experience the day-to-day workings of engineering.

+ Familiarity with designing complex spreadsheets with Microsoft Excel.

+ Good written and verbal communication skills.

+ Self-motivated and able to work in a team environment.

What You Bring

+ You must be 18 years of age by the start of the summer internship.

+ You must be a US Citizen.

+ Completion of at least one year of undergraduate engineering studies in a software engineering program or similar.

+ Must be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate software engineering degree program or similar.
