Description

The OTR Transfer Driver will transport products in a safe manner from one Bunzl Processor location to another in multiple states while following all safety and DOT regulations. One to four stops per week/Drop and Hook. Home on the Weekends.

The driver will be based in Kansas City.

_Responsibilities:_

+ Operate tractor-trailer combination in a safe and professional manner at all times

+ Deliver products to BPD Warehouses

+ Maintain DOT logs daily and complies with all other DOT procedures/regulations

+ Maintain a clean, organized and safe work environment to include washing tractor exterior and interior per accepted standards for BPD, Bunzl and applicable laws

_Requirements:_

+ Must have a valid CDL Class A license

+ Minimum 2 years' experience in commercial transportation

+ Must have Haz/Mat endorsement or able to obtain within 60 days of employment

+ Ability to operate a tractor-trailer in a safe and efficient manner

+ Possess knowledge of all applicable State and Federal DOT regulations

+ Capacity to read and correctly interpret route manifests and invoices

+ Ability and willingness to work varying routes as assigned by Supervisor

+ Previous experience with Electronic Log Devices (ELD's)

+ Over-the-Road commercial driving experience preferred

+ 2+ years commercial driving with a Class A CDL License
