Overview
Project Manager (USATC 2025-22625):
Bowhead seeks an experienced Project Manager to join us in Fort Jackson, SC. The Project Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day tactical duties for a basic technical program. The Project Manager is not responsible for P&L or business development but is accountable to oversee results of multi-functional project teams. The PM will be responsible for the administrative/operational leadership of a project within the program guidelines set by the Program Manager and customer. Monitors project to ensure work scope, schedule, and budget are well defined and maintained. Provides the coordination between resource managers/supervisors and ensures all necessary reviews and approvals are received. May conduct performance/project analysis during phase-down to benefit futrue/other projects/missions/programs.
Responsibilities
The Project Manager is to provide resources to plan, organize, and manage transportation, logistics, maintenance, supply and personnel in support of Fort Jackson, SC. Successful candidate(s) must possess knowledge, experience and understanding of US Army logistics and chain of command. The Project Manager shall be responsible for all services performed under the task order and shall be the central point of contract (POC) for the customer.
Essential Fuctions will include:
+ Provide logistical support in the areas of supply, maintenance, and transportation at Fort Jackson, SC and surrounding locations identified as off-post support locations under the task order.
+ Responsible for financial management, general accounting requirements and quality control plan/processes as they relate to the total logistical responsibility of the task order.
+ Responsible for continuous process improvement (CPI) and quality assurance (including, but not limited to, tracking performance, cost outcomes, CPI awareness training).
+ Ability to establish program objectives or performance goals and assess progress.
+ Ability to gain cooperation in order to coordinate the work of others, and build a cohesive team.
+ Flexibility and capability to adjust work to operational needs and to meet emergency or changing program and/or production requirements.
+ Ability to work with subordinate managers, delegate tasks and authority to those mangers and ensure those tasks completed satisfactorily.
+ Ability to analyze organizational and operational problems and develop timely and economical solutions.
+ Attend meetings, briefings, conferences as required for the customer and employer.
+ Respond to urgent requirements or emergencies at all hours of the day/night and during weekends.
+ Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
+ Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of ten (10) years' management experience. Master's degree preferred.
+ Minimum of five (5) years' documented management experience with or in support of the United States military, during which you managed 50+ personnel both directly and indirectly.
+ Must have comprehensive knowledge of a variety of Army regulations related to the daily operations of an Army installation.
+ Must understand ISO and quality management systems.
+ Must be able to pass a stringent Federal criminal background investigation and pre-employment drug screening.
+ Where driving may be required, applicants must have a valid driver license
+ Expert to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
+ Strong organizational skills witht he ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Must have strong verbal and written command of English.
Physical Demands:
+ Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
+ Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time.
+ Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically.
SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to obtain a clearance at the Public Trust level. Due to the location of this work US Citizenship is a requirement.
