    As a Software Engineer for Lowe’s, you’ll be transforming business needs into innovative software solutions. working on **Enterprise Retail Product Cache (ERPC)** – a highly scalable, high-performance system that powers Lowe’s core selling channels including **online, in-store, contact center, and mobile.** ERPC processes over **22,000 transactions per second** , making it one of the most critical platforms at Lowe’s. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on a mission-critical platform at scale, contribute to a modern tech stack, and collaborate with high-performing engineering teams.

    What** **You’ll** **Do:

    + Design and build robust systems using **modern technologies** **:** Kotlin, Java, Spring Boot, Reactor, Kafka, MongoDB, and PostgreSQL.

    + Deploy applications to **Google Cloud Platform (GCP)** , and store network environments.

    + Apply comprehensive testing methodologies including **Unit Testing, End-to-End Testing, BDD, Performance, and Smoke Testing** using tools such as: Cucumber, Mockito, Selenium, JUnit, Karate, and JMeter.

    + Work on a **cloud-native platform** built on Kubernetes, with integrated observability using **Prometheus** **,** **Grafana** , and **ELK stack** for logging and monitoring.

    + Contribute to platform-wide productivity by creating, building, and publishing **reusable libraries** and tools.

    This position is based at our on-site Tech Hub in Charlotte, North Carolina. Lowe's Tech Hub is an ultramodern work environment, complete with cutting-edge technology, collaborative workspaces, an on-site barista and Zen Garden, and other perks to enhance your work experience.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Partners with product teams to translate business requirements into logical program designs and software solutions, conducting implementation and maintenance of complex enterprise applications with occasional guidance from senior colleagues.

    + Develops, configures, or modifies integrated business and/or enterprise application solutions within various computing environments by designing and coding component-based applications using various programming languages.

    + Tests applications using test-driven and behavior-driven development frameworks, ensuring solution integrity, testability, maintainability, and efficiency.

    + Conducts root cause analysis of issues,participates in code reviews to identifygaps, and solves difficult technical problems to optimize application performance.

    + Implements continuous integration/continuous delivery processes to ensure quality and efficiency in the development cycle using DevOps automation processes and tools.

    + Ideates, builds, and publishes reusable libraries to improve cross-team productivity while ensuring successful deployment of released applications.

    Minimum Qualifications

    + 2 years of experience in software development or a related field.

    + 2 years of experience working on project(s) involving the implementation of solutions applying development life cycles (SDLC) through iterative agile development.

    + 2 years' experience working with any of the following: frontend technologies (user interface/user experience), middleware (microservices and application programming interfaces), database technologies, or DevOps.

    + Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer information systems, or related field (or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree).

    Preferred Skills/Experience

    + 2 years of experience writing technical documentation in a software environment and developing and implementing business systems within an organization.
