    Manufacturing Engineer Location: Syracuse, NY Job ID: #70909 Pay Range: $20-50 ph (W2) Duration: 6 - 12 mos Job Description We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to manage our computer systems and networks supporting the Production floor, personnel, and operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the stability, security, and efficiency of our computer systems and networks, as well as providing technical support to production personnel. This is a critical role that requires a strong understanding of computer systems, networks, and manufacturing operations. 1. **Computer Systems and Network Management:** * Manage and maintain special computer systems and networks supporting the Production floor, including hardware, software, and infrastructure. * Ensure system stability, security, and efficiency, and troubleshoot issues as they arise. * Collaborate with IT department to ensure alignment with company-wide IT strategies and policies. 2. **Technical Support:** * Provide technical support to production personnel, including training and assistance with computer systems and software applications. * Develop and maintain documentation for computer systems and networks, including user manuals and technical guides. 3. **Manufacturing Operations Support:** * Work closely with production teams to ensure computer systems and networks are aligned with manufacturing operations and goals. * Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to increase efficiency and productivity. 4. **Cybersecurity:** * Ensure compliance with company cybersecurity policies and procedures. * Collaborate with IT department to implement and maintain cybersecurity measures to protect computer systems and networks. 5. **Project Management:** * Manage projects related to computer systems and network upgrades, implementations, and migrations. * Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and internal teams to ensure successful project execution. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field. Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with a focus on computer systems and networks. Technical Skills: * Strong understanding of computer systems, networks, and infrastructure, including Windows and Linux operating systems. * Experience with network protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP. * Familiarity with cybersecurity principles and practices. * Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Soft Skills * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Ability to work effectively in a team environment. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. * Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
