    WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

     

    As a 3D Footwear Designer, you will be working under the Digital Product Creation Organization while focusing on 3D Design for Global Footwear. You will also collaborate with other members of the design team including product, materials, color, computational designers as well as Development and Marketing as part of a creative collective on each project.

    WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

    Are you passionate about product and 3D capabilities? If you have notable experience with 3D Design techniques, emerging tools and technologies, and knowledge of product creation—we’re looking for you! Ideally, you also have a strong aesthetic sensibility and excel at translating abstract concepts into fully realized form. Working closely with your colleagues, you employ your technical skills to determine aesthetic and functional design solutions and help overcome design challenges. Highly self-motivated with a solution-oriented approach, you are capable of producing high-quality work on very fast deadlines. You can model, visualize and prep models for 3D printing. If you are very creative and design-oriented, with a strong aesthetic sensibility and outstanding technical skills, then we’d love to talk to you!

     

    + Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial, Transportation Design, Architecture, a related field or an equivalent combination of education, experience, and training

    + 2-3 years of relevant work experience

    + Unique design philosophy and strong creative drive

    + Strong work ethic, communication skills and team spirit

    + Proficiency in 3D Design, polygonal and surface modeling

    + Demonstrated proficiency using digital design applications (i.e. Maya, Blender, Rhino, ZBrush, Blender, Photoshop, and Illustrator)

    + Demonstrates ability to use AI (Artificial Intelligence) tools in their design process (i.e. Vizcom, NewArc, etc.)

    + Experience in crafting conceptual prototypes and proficiency in preparing 3D assets for rapid prototyping (RP)

    + Possess an in depth understanding of digital creation market trends and new technologies

    + Ability to continually expand knowledge of digital creation tools and processes and stay current with

    + industry digital creation innovations

    + Footwear product experience is a must

    + Experience working in a highly multidimensional design environment

    + Ability to travel up to 5% of the time

     

    WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

     

    As a 3D Designer for CPBM, you will design along side of Footwear Design by driving digital creation from ideation to manufacturing through all design phases. You will use digital tools to enable the creation of innovative concepts and designs that appropriately reflect Nike’s design philosophy. Additionally, you will build and present assets that effectively communicate design intent to a variety of audiences.
