Job Summary and Qualifications

The Clinical Quality Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and monitoring collaborative quality improvement activities performed by the Nursing Department, Ancillary Departments and the Medical Staff in order to enhance patient care. This position works closely with the VP of Quality Management to assist with Federal, State regulations compliance and accreditation standard guidelines for the facility’s clinical, medical and ancillary staff. As a member of the Quality Management Department, regularly participates in development and implementation of Performance Improvement Plans, goals and objectives.

What qualifications you will need:

+ Current Florida license as Registered Nurse or Recognized Compact Licensure (subject to Florida State Licensing Requirements, including/not limited to ongoing eligibility and duration provisions)

+ Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing

+ Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in an acute care setting

+ Experience in data collection and analysis and performance improvement projects.

+ Knowledge of Federal and State guidelines and requirements: Health Care District, Medicare, Medicaid and Department of Children and Families

+ Knowledge of regulatory requirements

+ Knowledge of basic PDSA

We are an Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) Primary Stroke Center. HCA Florida Palms West Hospital has emergency services, a dedicated New Life Center and a Level II NICU. We have a full-service Children’s Hospital. Services include outpatient rehabilitation, an aquatics center, orthopedic spine center, robotics, and interventional radiology.
