    Our client, a leader in facilities management, is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Mechanic to join their team. As a Facilities Maintenance Mechanic, you will be part of the maintenance department supporting a dedicated team. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, the ability to manage competing tasks, and a proactive approach to problem-solving which will align successfully in the organization.

     

    **Job Title:** Facilities Maintenance Mechanic

    **Location:** Marquette, MI

    **Pay Range:** $18.74 per Hour

    **Shift:** Full-Time, Monday–Friday 8am to 4:30PM with 30min lunch and 2x15min paid breaks, hours may vary based on workload and emergencies. Temp to possible hire position.

     

    What's the Job?

     

    + Perform general building maintenance and repair including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and custodial tasks.

    + Complete unit turnovers, snow removal, and groundskeeping as assigned.

    + Coordinate daily workload and prioritize work orders in collaboration with maintenance staff and supervisors.

    + Assist with inspections, provide access to outside contractors, and follow all safety procedures.

    + Represent the organization professionally, maintain confidentiality, and build positive relationships with staff, residents, and contractors.

     

    What's Needed?

     

    + Minimum of 3 years’ experience in maintenance or facilities management, with knowledge of building systems and tools.

    + Strong skills in plumbing, construction, electrical, heating systems, and appliance repair.

    + Ability to communicate effectively, manage competing tasks, and respond to maintenance emergencies.

    + Physically able to lift up to 75 lbs, work in various environments, and operate standard maintenance equipment.

    + Valid driver's license, clear background check, and ability to pass physical and drug screening.
