    Rampart Aviation is currently seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Chief Pilot..

     

    The Chief Pilot is responsible to the Director of Operations for the management of the Pilot group including all training.

     

    Candidates must be knowledgeable of General Operations Manuals, Operations Specifications, and FARs pertaining to Part 135 operations.

    To serve as Chief Pilot, candidates are required to hold an airline transport pilot certificate and either:

    (1) In the case of a person becoming a Chief Pilot for the first time ever, have at least 3 years experience, within the past 6 years, as pilot in command of an aircraft operated under Part 121 or Part 135.

     

    (2) In the case of a person with previous experience as a Chief Pilot, have at least 3 years experience, as pilot in command of an aircraft operated under part 121 or part 135 of this chapter.

     

    Please refer to FAR 119.71 for additional information on the qualifications for the position.

    BASIC FUNCTION SUMMARY

    Directs all training activities of flight crew members.

     

    Coordinates operations policies, and training matters with appropriate activities.

     

    Advises the appropriate personnel of the status of flight operation and the training of the flight crew members and is responsible for crew members standardization.

     

    Prepares and maintains proficiency records, flight schedules, reports and correspondence pertaining to operations activities.

     

    Disseminates information to all crew members as pertains to routes, airports, NOTAMS, navaids and Company policies.  Will maintain and make available to all employees a current copy of the Aeronautical Information Manual, FAR Part 91 and FAR Part 135.

     

    Submits to FAA all reports required, pertaining to flight crews.

     

    Schedules aircraft to the available flight crew members and establishes personnel duty hours.

     

    He must be able to exercise Operational Control  in the absence of the Director of Operations.

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

    Candidates must hold the following Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Pilot Ratings:

    ATP MEL

    CFII is desirable

     

    Valid First Class Medical

    Minimum Flight Experience:

    4000 hours Total Time

     

    1000 hours Multi-Engine

     

    Turboprop experience preferred

     

    Prior military experience preferred

    Other Qualifications:

    Must possess a valid driver's license and obtain a US Passport within 30 days of hiring.

     

    Must be able to pass drug, alcohol and thorough background check(s).

     

    Must be fluent (speak, read, write) in English.

     

    Must be able to provide identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification document form upon hire.

     

    Physical Demands: Climbing, standing, stooping, bending, pushing, kneeling, stretching, extensive walking and working in tiring uncomfortable positions. May require lifting of objects whose weight may exceed 50 pounds. Special vision abilities required to perform this job are close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust and focus.

     

    Work Environment: The diversity of work conditions may range from an environment where there is little or no physical discomfort, to an environment where inclement weather may subject the individual to severe changes of temperature, wind, rain, etc. Travel to austere and inhospitable high stress environments will be required. May be required to work in areas where high noise hazards prevail. May be exposed to fumes or airborne particles. May be exposed to electrical shock hazards.
