    Job Title: SAP Financial Functional Analyst

     

    Department: Accounting

     

    FLSA: Exempt

    General Function:

    As an SAP Financial Functional Analyst, you will play a critical role in the support, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the accounting and finance processes occurring in Hy-Vee’s SAP S/4 HANA ERP System. The financial functional analyst collaborates closely with the accounting and finance teams, as well as SAP Basis and Security teams, to improve business processes and implement new or improved features. You will be a valuable contributor on a team that is responsible for configuration, defining new development requirements, testing and transporting development changes, monitoring the daily document processing, and providing stabilization and hypercare activities to the organization.

    Accountable and Reports to: Vice President, Accounting, Assistant Controller

     

    Direct Reports: None

    Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

    + Has understanding of the SAP S/4 HANA system and in depth knowledge of their assigned workstream(s).

    + Maintains financial master data values in SAP (ex: Profit Centers, Cost Centers, Segments, Functional Areas, GL Accounts).

    + Serves as a support resource to investigate and resolve service tickets, issues and process gaps.

    + Documents process workflows, change requirements, and necessary outcomes.

    + Identifies opportunities for system improvement and optimization and escalate to the appropriate stakeholders.

    + Designs, tests, and implements new functionality and business processes for the system.

    + Strives to drive system enhancements that will increase employee experience and adoption of the system.

    + Demonstrates a clear, concise, effective communication style appropriate for technical and non-technical audiences.

    + Assists in testing of integrations, security, and recurring events.

    + Building various reports and analytics in SAP. Handles urgent and/or difficult situations effectively.

    Secondary Duties and Responsibilities:

    + Performs other job related duties and special projects as required.

    + Reports to work on time and when scheduled.

    + Participates in off-hours on-call rotational schedule.

    Education and Experience:

    + Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, and/or Information Systems preferred

    + 1+ Year Experience in Accounting, Finance, and/or Information Systems field

    + Experience with SAP S/4 HANA preferred, but not required

    Physical Requirements:

    + Visual requirements include: ability to see detail at near range with or without correction.

    + Must be able to physically perform sedentary work: occasionally lifting or carrying objects of no more than 10 pounds, and occasionally standing or walking.

    + Must be able to perform the following physical activities: balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.

    + Must have the ability to do calculations involving fractions, decimals and percentages.

    + Ability to interact with basic computer systems, including word processing, spreadsheet, and email applications, as well as job-specific programs

    Working Conditions:

    The duties of this position are performed in an office setting.

    Schedule/Hours:

    This is a 45-hour work week salaried position.

    Equipment Used to Perform Job:

    PC with Microsoft Office programs, calculator, telephone, copier, fax, and printer

    Has access to confidential information including sales, profit, bank account information and is expected to maintain confidentiality.
