In-Home Respite Counselor

This is more than a job-it's an opportunity to provide essential relief to caregivers and meaningful companionship to individuals with disabilities. Your presence will bring comfort, safety, and support right into their homes.

What You'll Do:

+ Provide face-to-face respite services to individuals in their homes or in the community (such as social outings, shopping, or appointments)

+ Assist with personal care tasks when needed, including dressing, toileting, or eating

+ Offer compassionate companionship while ensuring each person's safety and comfort

+ Maintain accurate documentation and complete required reports in a timely manner

+ Communicate with your supervisor regularly and promptly report any schedule changes or incidents

+ Work independently while following care plans and respecting the needs and preferences of each family

What You Bring:

+ A sincere passion for helping others and providing quality care

+ Ability to work independently and follow through on responsibilities

+ Strong communication skills to engage with individuals, families, and team members

+ A valid NYS Driver's License and reliable transportation.

+ Physical ability to support individuals with mobility or personal care needs, including lifting up to 35 pounds if necessary
