Job Qualifications

NYS certification required

Responsibilities:

+ Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in students.

+ Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and intervention strategies.

+ Provide therapy sessions to students individually or in small groups.

+ Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school personnel to support student progress.

+ Maintain accurate and timely records of assessments, treatment plans, and progress reports.

+ Participate in IEP (Individualized Education Program) meetings and contribute to the development of student goals.

+ Stay current with best practices and advancements in speech therapy through professional development.

Requirements:

+ Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.

+ Valid New York State Speech-Language Pathologist license.

+ Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred.

+ Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

+ Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

+ Experience in a school setting is preferred but not required.
