General Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in related field. Ten years of experience in a related field. Masters preferred. A combination of education, experience, and training that would produce the required knowledge and abilities could be considered.

Nature & Purpose of Position/Usual Duties:

Plans, organizes, and directs the day-to-day operations of a department with the oversight of the Director. Performs complex managerial work providing direction and guidance in strategic operations and planning in the Student Financial Services department.

Primary Responsibilities (Staff Positions Only):

Establishes the strategic plan and goals and objectives. Assists the director by directing program activities of staff in the Student Financial Services department. Assists the Director in implementing and verifying fee assessment rules, processing of 1098Ts, security access for student accounts receivable, reconciliations, and collection of past due balances. Develops, implements, and evaluates policies, and procedures and oversees compliance with policies and procedures. Identifies areas of needed change and makes recommendations to improve operations. Coordinates and evaluates department activities. Oversees the work of others. Manages programs focusing on continuous process improvement. Develops and implements techniques for evaluating program activities. Makes decisions independently under the authority of the director when the director is absent. Performs other related duties as assigned.
