Department: MNR Strategy & Organizational Resiliency Division
Position Title: Strategy & Organizational Resiliency, Emerging Talent Intern
Hourly Rate: $21.00 (Graduate)
Overview of Department:
Strategy & Organizational Resiliency leads Metro-North's corporate strategy, business improvement and resiliency functions. This includes, but is not limited to, directing Metro-North's strategic planning, benchmarking and best practices initiatives, and other internal business process reviews and innovation initiatives, including efforts to identify efficiencies and cost saving in direct alignment with executive, management, and strategic priorities as set forth.
Responsibilities:
+ Federal and State Grant application(s) support for Operating Efficiency and Fiscal Baseline Reset (FBR) funding.
+ Data Audit and Data Analysis for key operational performance areas.
+ Reporting functionality for key operational performance areas.
+ International/National Research.
+ Benchmarking Project Management and report development.
+ Economic Analysis and Business Case Development in the areas of, but not limited to: Standard Work, Overtime Management and Materials Management.
+ Other Duties as assigned.

+ Fiscal Baseline Operating Efficiencies Projects Analysis
+ Benchmarking Project Management
Required Qualifications:
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is a must.
+ The candidate should possess organizational, analytical and communication skills.
+ The candidate should be able to work well under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively.
+ The candidate should have a keen eye for detail and be able to work independently while being an active team player.
+ Project management and research skills with adherence to deadlines.
+ Must be able to maintain and protect confidentiality.
Required Education:
+ Matriculated in a graduate program in good standing with at least a 2.8 GPA
+ Major(s) Preferred: Master’s Urban Studies, Statistics, Finance/Business Administration
