Description
We are looking for a meticulous and detail-oriented Gift Processor to join our Client's team in New York, New York. In this role, you will play a critical part in managing donor contributions, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring seamless communication with donors. Responsibilities:
• Process various types of contributions, including pledges, checks, wires, and credit card donations, on a daily basis.
• Maintain and update donor records by creating new accounts and modifying existing ones in Raiser’s Edge.
• Accurately enter all donations into Raiser’s Edge and prepare comprehensive daily reports on recurring and online gifts.
• Collaborate with the Communications Department to ensure proper allocation of gifts received through web-based and mail channels.
• Work closely with the Payroll Administrator to process employee donations for payroll deductions.
• Adjust and reconcile donor gifts in Raiser’s Edge, providing necessary documentation to the Finance Department for updates in NetSuite.
• Supply supporting documents for endowment and restricted fund gifts to the Controller.
• Assist the Development team by handling donor inquiries related to tax receipts and donor records through online customer service platforms.

Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• At least 1 year of experience in gift processing and record-keeping within a non-profit organization.
• Proficiency with Raiser’s Edge or other Blackbaud software is highly preferred.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with donors.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel.
• Experience with general ledger systems is a plus.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively across departments in a fast-paced environment.
