About the Role:

Our client is seeking a skilled Associate Attorney to join their team and assist with managing an expanding caseload. This is a unique opportunity for a motivated litigator to grow with the firm, with the potential to take over the practice as the principal attorney, as one partner transitions out of active practice. This role features full remote flexibility, with occasional local court appearances (Bay Area or Inland Empire) mostly conducted on Zoom. You’ll join a collaborative and driven team of 5 staff members, with one individual fully dedicated to intake, handling and screening new cases (98% of cases are turned down).

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

+ Handle case management for a variety of personal injury and medical malpractice cases.

+ Appear in court (primarily remote/Zoom; occasional in-person appearances in Northern or Southern California as needed).

+ Collaborate with the team to devise creative legal strategies, think critically, and achieve successful resolutions.

+ Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and manage discovery.

+ Advocate for clients in settlement negotiations and, when necessary, trial proceedings.

What We’re Looking For:

+ Experience: 4–7 years in litigation, with strong case management skills.

+ Self-Driven Attitude: A proactive, independent attorney who can manage cases with minimal oversight.

+ Creative Thinking: Ability to think outside the box to develop innovative legal strategies.

+ Litigative Excellence: Strong courtroom presence and the ability to effectively advocate for clients.

+ California Bar Membership: Active and in good standing.
