Description We are looking for a skilled Payroll Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Palo Alto, California. In this role, you will manage payroll processes and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and organizational policies. This position offers the opportunity to work with leading payroll and accounting software systems while contributing to the efficient management of employee benefits and compensation.

Responsibilities:

• Process payroll accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and organizational policies.

• Utilize advanced payroll software systems such as ADP Workforce Now, Ceridian, and Dayforce to manage payroll operations.

• Oversee the administration of employee benefits, including 401(k) and RRSP contributions.

• Conduct audits to ensure accuracy in payroll data and address any discrepancies promptly.

• Handle payroll-related accounting tasks, including reconciliations and financial reporting.

• Provide support for benefit functions, ensuring seamless integration with payroll processes.

• Collaborate with internal teams to maintain accurate employee records and resolve payroll-related inquiries.

• Stay updated on industry best practices and changes in payroll regulations to ensure compliance.

• Participate in the implementation or optimization of payroll systems and workflows. Requirements • Proven experience working with payroll systems such as ADP Workforce Now, Ceridian, and Dayforce.

• Strong understanding of payroll processes, accounting principles, and relevant regulations.

• Familiarity with benefit administration, including 401(k) and RRSP plans.

• Experience in auditing payroll data and identifying discrepancies.

• Proficiency in accounting software and related tools.

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Strong communication skills for working with cross-functional teams and addressing employee inquiries.
