Description

We are looking for a dedicated attorney to join our team in Seattle, Washington. Our firm specializes in defending healthcare providers in medical malpractice cases and representing them in state licensing board investigations. With over five decades of experience and a reputation for excellence, we are committed to helping our associates grow into skilled trial attorneys.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough legal research using platforms such as Westlaw to support case strategies.

• Prepare and respond to written discovery requests in a timely and effective manner.

• Meet with clients, witnesses, and expert consultants to gather crucial case information.

• Draft detailed and timely case reports to ensure clear communication with clients and team members.

• Participate in and conduct depositions to build strong legal arguments.

• Write and present motions in court to advocate for client interests.

• Develop pre-trial documents, including trial briefs, jury instructions, and motions in limine.

• Assist lead attorneys during trials as a second chair, with the goal of progressing to first chair responsibilities.

• Manage multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously while maintaining high-quality work.

• Travel locally, and occasionally out-of-state, for court hearings and depositions as needed.

Requirements

Active WA bar license

2+ YOE in Civil Litigation

Experience in Medical Malpractice/Personal Injury/Insurance Defense cases strongly preferred

Experience taking and defending depositions
