    Description

    We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive RCSA Associate to join our banking client’s First Line Risk Management team. This role plays a key part in identifying, assessing, and mitigating operational risks through the effective execution of Risk and Control Self-Assessments (RCSAs). The ideal candidate will bring strong risk management experience, collaborate confidently with stakeholders, and contribute to a culture of compliance and continuous improvement.

    Key Responsibilities

    RCSA Execution

     

    + Lead or support the development, execution, and ongoing maintenance of RCSAs in line with internal frameworks and regulatory standards.

    + Identify and assess operational risks inherent in first-line business processes and controls.

     

    Control Validation & Gap Management

     

    + Work with business units to document and validate manual and automated controls.

    + Recommend and track remediation plans for control deficiencies.

     

    Risk Monitoring & Reporting

     

    + Monitor key risk indicators (KRIs), flag exceptions, and escalate as needed.

    + Prepare detailed risk reports for senior leadership and governance committees.

     

    Stakeholder Engagement

     

    + Train and guide first-line leaders on RCSA methodology and regulatory expectations.

    + Foster a strong risk culture across the organization.

     

    Process & Tool Enhancement

     

    + Support the enhancement of RCSA tools, dashboards, and reporting mechanisms.

    + Stay current on industry best practices and evolving regulatory guidelines.

    Qualifications

    + Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Business, Finance, or a related field (preferred).

    + Minimum 3–5 years of experience in first-line risk, operational risk, compliance, or internal audit within banking or financial services.

    + Strong understanding of risk and control principles, RCSA frameworks, and operational risk tools.

    + Proficient in risk management systems and Excel (advanced skills preferred).

    + Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly.

     

    Preferred Certifications & Experience

     

    + Professional certifications such as CRCM, FRM, or CIA are a plus.

    + Experience supporting regulatory reviews, audits, or internal inspections is highly desirable.

     

    Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Risk Management, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.

     

    • At least 5 years of experience in first-line risk management, operational risk, compliance, or auditing within the banking or financial services sector.

    • Strong understanding of risk frameworks and principles, including the execution of RCSAs.

    • Proficiency in risk management tools and software; advanced Excel skills are a plus.

    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively explain complex risks and controls.

    • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

    • Certifications such as Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM), Financial Risk Manager (FRM), or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) are a plus.

    • Experience in supporting regulatory reviews and audits, including documentation preparation for first-line defense controls.
