Description

Lisa Cole with Robert Half is on the lookout for a meticulous Senior Accountant to join our client in Sacramento. The Senior Accountant will be instrumental in handling the full spectrum of accounting along with managing assisting with month-end and year-end closing activities. Responsibilities:

• Maintain and prepare monthly and yearly journal entries for various areas including recurring expenses, accruals and deferrals, and investment activity.

• Generate monthly and yearly financial statements.

• Manage and analyze cash balances across all bank and investment accounts, process transfers, and assist with cash planning and forecasting.

• Oversee full-cycle fixed assets including maintenance of capitalization policies, depreciation schedules, additions, disposals, and reporting.

• Facilitate annual audits.

• Prepare and file tax and regulatory reports, returns, and forms.

• Assist in the annual budget preparation processes and prepare budget variance analyses.

• Maintain documented accounting procedures and internal control processes.

• Stay up-to-date and advise on changes to GAAP and tax requirements.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting is required

•3+ years of experience in a similar role such as a Sr. Accountant or related fields.

• A strong understanding and hands-on experience with General Ledger management is expected.

• The ability to accurately handle Journal Entries is a must.

• Experience with Month End Close is necessary for this role.
