Description

We are hiring for a Financial Analyst for a client in Reading, Pennsylvania for a long term contract.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Oversee and support fiscal, budgetary, and financial reporting processes for operational needs, ensuring compliance with internal and external regulations.

+ Manage all fiscal and accounting activities related to agreements with governmental entities, including budget reviews, financial monitoring, and appropriation requests.

+ Conduct in-depth financial analyses, including cost projections, unit cost calculations, wage assessments, and return-on-investment evaluations for operational policies and activities.

+ Supervise quarterly reporting and ensure reconciliation with general ledger records; monitor program compliance for eligible expenses and budget/invoice submissions.

+ Lead annual budget development efforts, including forecasting wages/benefits, analyzing union contract impacts, and preparing multi-year cash flow projections.

+ Act as a liaison with departments and governmental agencies to optimize fiscal resource allocation and manage financial reporting and submissions, such as per diem invoicing and vendor payments.

+ Oversee reconciliation processes, quarterly close requirements, audit preparation, and year-end financial close to ensure accurate record-keeping.

+ Supervise and evaluate fiscal staff, approving leave requests, maintaining attendance records, and addressing performance issues.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

+ Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business with an emphasis on accounting/finance.

+ Minimum of two years of relevant experience in public or private sector financial accounting, budgetary analysis, or related roles.

+ Proficient in accounting principles, fund accounting, and auditing practices.

+ Advanced analytical skills for evaluating financial processes, regulatory impacts, and cost accounting.

+ Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with excellent attention to detail and follow-through capabilities.

+ Expertise in financial modeling and reporting tools, such as Excel (pivot tables) and PowerPoint.

+ Effective communication skills enabling teamwork and problem-solving in fast-paced environments.

+ Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
