Description Position Summary:

Steinway is currently looking for an experienced Staff Accountant / Senior Accountant – Global Finance to join our Corporate Finance team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong accounting skillset and utilize excellent time management, organization and interpersonal skills, and have the ability to communicate effectively and work independently to perform a wide array of duties.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform monthly and quarterly close activities including posting journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations and analysis

• Assist in the preparation of accounting, tax, and audit schedules and analyses

• Supervise accounts payable process

• Prepare and monitor daily cash flow projections

• Prepare and distribute consolidated cash balances to management

• Communicate with global divisions regarding corporate finance matters and monthly close activities

• Coordinate with operating divisions to confirm intercompany transactions and balances

• Manage fixed assets in SAGE system

• Supervise distribution of daily foreign exchange rate analyses

• Provide support to management as needs arise, including ad-hoc tax and financial analysis, and special projects

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree with a major in Accounting, higher education a plus

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant accounting experience

• Strong knowledge of financial accounting concepts and GAAP

• Strong communication skills

• Advance skills in Microsoft Office products a plus

• Ability to multi-task, collaborate, and meet tight deadlines

• Strong learning, analytical, problem solving and interpersonal skills

• Experience with a mid-market or large company ERP/EPM. Microsoft Dynamics NAV (Navision), Planful, or Sage a plus

• Experience working with entities overseas and foreign exchange knowledge a plus Requirements Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, Journal Entries, Month End Close, NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, SAP, Sage Intacct
