Description We are looking for a dedicated Financial Analyst II to join our team in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In this long-term contract position, you will play a key role in supporting financial operations, including preparing network payments, reconciling accruals, and delivering insightful financial analysis. This role requires a proactive individual who can work independently while ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all financial processes.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare monthly payments and accruals for network operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial guidelines.
• Reconcile payments and accruals, identifying discrepancies and resolving issues promptly.
• Analyze large datasets using advanced database tools to calculate payments, accruals, and provide detailed analytics and reporting.
• Develop and utilize financial models to support budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Evaluate financial risks and opportunities by reviewing operational metrics and providing actionable insights.
• Assist in the preparation of weekly, monthly, and annual financial reports, ensuring timely delivery and accuracy.
• Research budget variances and forecasts, explaining results through detailed financial analyses.
• Prepare journal entries for month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring financial statements are complete and accurate.
• Collaborate on process improvement initiatives by identifying risk areas and implementing recommendations for efficiency.
• Perform ad hoc financial projects, including data analysis and reporting, as assigned by management. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years of relevant experience in industry or public accounting.
• Proficiency in analyzing and managing large datasets with database tools such as Teradata and Microsoft Visual Studio.
• Strong knowledge of financial systems, including Oracle and Essbase.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Exceptional analytical abilities with a keen eye for detail.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
