    *This is a full time, benefited position. The schedule is varied, but primarily PM shifts (3pm-11:30pm) with occasional coverage for the 6am or 11am shifts. Includes rotating weekends and holidays. Located at the Scripps Health core lab in Sorrento Valley. *

    Our Scripps Medical Laboratory is our system's core lab, servicing all sites and processing over 2.6 million tests annually. The Clinical Lab Scientist (CLS) will work in the microbiology department and may have the opportunity to cross train in molecular testing.

     

    *_Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills:_*

    * Bachelor’s Degree or degree acceptable for California Laboratory Licensure

    * New graduates are welcome to apply

    *_Required Certification/Registration:_*

    * *CDPH Licensure: *MTA (Clinical Laboratory Scientist) Licensed to perform work in all areas of the Clinical Lab or MTE (Clinical Microbiologist) limited license

    *Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification:*

    * One year equivalent full time in a clinical laboratory.

    * Microbiology experience
