Summary Lifeguard Certification Training is located at Aliamanu Pool on Honolulu, Hawaii. (Island of Oahu) Upon completion of mandatory certifications, the incumbent will be non-competitively placed in a Recreation Aid Lifeguard position. Responsibilities This is a training position for a certified Lifeguard. Works under close supervision wherein the work is closely reviewed/monitored and detail guidance provided. Must participate in all required training, to include emergency rescue drills and action plan simulations. All certifications must be completed within 30 days of employment. In addition, for facilities using "O2 bottles," certification in Oxygen Administration (American Red Cross or equivalent) is required within two weeks of reporting to duty. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Minimum Qualification Must be able to swim and participate in the lifeguard certifications. Education No educational requirement.
