The***Kahlert Institute for Addiction Medicine***at the University of Maryland School of Medicine is recruiting several tenure-track or tenured faculty members at the Assistant Professor or Associate Professor rank. We are interested in basic science candidates with a terminal degree who have interests in translational addiction science. Faculty will work alongside basic and clinical research teams to contribute to the broader goal of advancing the science of addiction medicine. Specific areas of interest include (1) mechanisms to inform therapeutic development, (2) pain, (3) polysubstance exposure, and/or (4) core mechanisms underlying drug exposures and consequences. Additional foci will be considered. The candidates’ research program must be aligned with the mission of the Kahlert Institute for Addiction Medicine, which is dedicated to transforming addiction research, prevention, treatment, and education across the State of Maryland and advancing the science of addiction medicine more broadly. The new hires will have an appointment in a basic or clinical department at the*University of Maryland School of Medicine*, but will be affiliated with and housed in the Kahlert Institute for Addiction Medicine.
