    Delaware Valley Job Corps is an education and training center located in beautiful Callicoon, NY. We are a Center which uses student-focused programs to ensure successful training and employment placement for each individual we serve. With a capacity of 208 students, we strive to achieve excellence for each student across 7 different trades.

    The Driver reports to Center Friday through Tuesday 1p-10p

    Driver Responsibilities Include:The primary goal of our drivers is to ensure that we are providing safe, efficient and effective transportation for students.

     

    + Performs maintenance and inspections of Center’s facilities and systems to ensure functionality and prevent disruption of student and staff services.

    + Completes, tracks and documents work status and notifies supervisor of issues and concerns.

    + Provides students with timely and efficient student transportation services as required.

    + Maintains appropriate vehicle documentation per DOL/Company requirements.

    + Schedules and delivers vehicles for preventive maintenance and repairs as necessary.

    + Provide transportation to students to/from Center.

    + Assists the Safety & Security department to maintain a safe and secure Center environment.

    + Responsible for Center security, visitor control and student accountability.

    Qualifications

    Driver Qualifications Include:High School Diploma or equivalent required. Advanced degrees preferred. Prefer previous experience working with youth. Must possess and maintain a valid Commercial Driver’s License in their residing state and meet Company insurability requirements. Passenger Endorsement is required or able to acquired within a reasonable time frame.Physical requirements include sitting, standing, climbing, walking, lifting, pulling and/or pushing, carrying, reaching, stooping and crouching. Demonstrates the ability to lift 40 pounds and/or the ability to assess the lift load in order to ask for necessary assistance.
