    Position: Machine Operator (Burn Table)

     

    Direct Hire Opportunity!

     

    Pay: $18 - $22/hour ($37,440 - $45,760/yr.)

     

    Hours: 6:00am - 3:30pm (OT is allowed, required to work 9 hours per day)

    Position Overview:

    The Machine Operator will set-up, operate, and maintain a plasma burn table. Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

     

    + Run ESAB control plasma torch cutting machine

    + Cut beveled edges on plate steel of various thicknesses (14-Gauge through to 2.5”) and up to 40-foot-long cuts utilizing the Plasma Table

    + Must be able to verify measurements and computer data input

    + Must be able to operate overhead crane and drive fork truck when required

    Desired Skills and Experience:

    + Read, write, use simple arithmetic and follow written and verbal instructions

    + Read, understand, and interpret blueprints, follow the drawings and be accurate with relation to all the functions of the job

    + Use and Read a Tape Measure

    + Work with minimal supervision and have the initiative to follow through on projects

    + Operate a crane to load plate onto burn table then adjust computer for parameters

    + Lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds as required

    + Work in any department as required when production varies
