    We have an opportunity at our corporate offices in Washington D.C. for a Programming & Events Specialist IIon our Advocacy team. This is a hybrid position requiring 3 days a week in the office.

     

    This position will be responsible for coordinating fundraising materials for Board members and RPD’s, managing external communications to AMPAC Major Donors and AMPAC Board of Directors, and maintaining inventory for AMPAC’s major donors. Provide comprehensive support to AMPAC’s Board of Directors and plays a key role in planning and executing Board meetings and fundraising events.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Marketing & Fundraising Initiatives

     

    + Collaborate with Division Director to develop promotional materials showcasing AMA/AMPAC political and legislative activities.

    + Assist with AMPAC member recruitment and retention efforts, including developing and designing new fundraising initiatives.

    + Support direct mail campaigns and other fundraising outreach efforts.

    + Work with the Manager of Major Donor Fundraising to prepare fundraising materials for AMPAC Board of Directors and AMA staff attending state medical PAC meetings.

    + Compile and maintain AMPAC Board fundraising lists.

     

    Oversee AMPAC donor inventory and manage in-house gift fulfillment.

     

    + Board Support & Event Coordination

    + Provide administrative and logistical support to AMPAC’s Board of Directors.

    + Manage event planning, including scheduling, coordinating hotel and meeting spaces, and organizing off-site dinners and receptions for Board events.

    + Organize and manage logistics for fundraising events, including Capitol Club and Booth exhibits. Responsible for 3-5 meetings annually.

    + Provide on-site assistance to enhance the visibility and participation with AMPAC membership and ensure marketing materials are available for use at meetings.

    + Attend select AMA meetings to promote AMPAC membership engagement.

     

    External Communication & Content Management

     

    + Handle external communications with the AMPAC major donors and the board members. Ensure major donors receive bi-weekly political reports.

    + Maintain and update AMPAC Board content on AMPAC's website, ensuring timeliness and accuracy.

    + Work with Board members to review and update biographical information and photos annually or as needed.

     

    May include other responsibilities as assigned

    REQUIREMENTS:

    + Bachelor’s degree required.

    + 3+ years of experience working with political action committees and/or equivalent experience in political fundraising/membership programs, political campaigns or association membership programs and meeting planning experience.

    + 2+ years of experience writing/develop fundraising and membership promotional materials.

    + Skilled at managing multiple projects and meeting tight deadlines.

    + Experience working with vendors and contractors.

    + Advanced written and oral communications skills required; four years of written communication experience in a professional environment.

    + Strong computer skills required. Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) preferred.

    + Knowledge of Federal Election Commission regulations pertaining to political action committee fundraising highly desirable.

    + Some travel required.

     

    This role is an exempt position, and the salary range for this position is $77,418 - $102,638. This is the lowest to highest salary we believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee’s pay within the salary range will be determined by a variety of factors including but not limited to business consideration, geographical location, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
