    As a Lead Electrical Design Engineer here at Honeywell, you will play a key role in leading and managing electrical engineering projects. You will be accountable for overseeing the design, development, and implementation of electrical systems and components. The lead engineer will provide technical expertise, guidance, and facilitation to the team, ensuring the successful execution of projects. You will work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to drive innovation, improve processes, and achieve project objectives.

     

    You will report directly to our Senior Engineering Manager, and you'll work out of our Boulder City, NV location on an on-site work schedule. In this role, you will impact the company's ability to deliver high-quality, innovative, and technologically advanced electrical engineering solutions. Your technical guidance, project management skills, and dedication to excellence will contribute to the company's success, reputation, and growth in the industry.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    + Lead and manage electrical engineering projects from conception to completion

    + Provide technical expertise, guidance, and facilitation to the team members

    + Work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure successful project execution

    + Design and develop electrical systems and components

    + Mentor junior engineers

    + Work closely with technicians during building of prototypes

    + Work with other engineers, technicians, and other stakeholders on continuous quality improvement

    + Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources

     
     

    Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status in the U.S.

    YOU MUST HAVE

    + Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics

    + 6+ years in electrical design

    + Prior experience leading other engineers and technicians

    + Strong knowledge of electrical design principles, practices, and standards

    WE VALUE

    + Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering or related field

    + Experience in Design For Excellence (Design for manufacturability, assembly, testability, reliability, etc.)

    + Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills

    + Strong leadership and project management abilities

    + Experience creating military style cable harnesses and wiring diagrams

    + Experience with MIL-STD-1275, and MIL-PRF-GCS600A
