    Status: Non-Exempt

     

    Compensation: $23.00 + Commission (1099 Contract Position)

    Summary/Objective

    We are seeking highly motivated individuals with reliable transportation for the role of Outside Sales Representative at Midwest Distribution. As the face and voice of our company, you will be responsible for promoting our products and building strong relationships with customers. Your primary goal is to increase brand awareness, generate leads, and drive sales through effective sales strategies and relationship management.

    Essential Functions

    + Represent Midwest Distribution: Act as the primary representative of the company, embodying our values and commitment to excellence while promoting our diverse range of products to prospective and existing clients.

    + Sales Generation: Identify and pursue new sales opportunities through cold calling, networking, and referrals. Maintain a consistent sales pipeline and meet or exceed sales targets.

    + Client Relationship Management: Establish and maintain long-term relationships with retail clients. Regularly engage with them to understand their business needs, provide product recommendations, and offer tailored solutions.

    + Promote Products: Utilize in-depth product knowledge to effectively present and recommend products, highlighting their benefits and unique features.

    + Develop Sales Strategies: Collaborate with management to create and implement sales strategies aligned with company goals. Adjust sales tactics as necessary to remain competitive in the market.

    + Negotiate Contracts: Provide pricing information, create proposals, and negotiate contracts to close sales deals.

    + Achieve Targets: Consistently meet and exceed sales goals through proactive sales efforts and strategic planning.

    + Provide Customer Support: Deliver exceptional service by responding promptly to client inquiries, resolving issues, and providing post-sale support.

    + Market Analysis: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to adjust sales strategies accordingly.

    + Report Sales Activity: Maintain accurate records of all sales activities, client interactions, and progress reports using CRM software.

    Experience & Skills Required

    + Sales Expertise: Proven track record of success in sales, with experience in outside sales preferred.

    + Communication and Relationship Building: Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills to build and maintain client relationships.

    + Goal-Driven Mindset: Self-motivated, determined, and focused on achieving sales objectives.

    + Organizational Excellence: Excellent time management and organizational skills to manage multiple accounts effectively.

    + Travel Flexibility: Willingness to travel as needed to meet clients and attend industry events.

    + Collaborative Spirit: Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

    Supervisory Responsibility

     

    This position has no supervisory responsibility.

     

    Work Environment

     

    This job work environment requires traveling from store to store to market our product.

     

    Physical Demands

     

    The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and listen.

     

    This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, climbing, reaching up and lifting. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The employee must be able to lift and move items up to 60 pounds.

     

    Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

     

    This is a full-time position, typically requiring 40-45 hours per week. Occasional weekend or evening work may be required based on business needs.

     

    Travel

     

    Travel is expected for this position and the work location would be on the road.

    Required Education and Experience

    A minimum of HS Diploma or GED and one year of marketing or previous sales experience. Ability to read and write English, follow verbal instructions, and have basic math skills. Basic computer skills and Microsoft Office experience are required.

     

    Work Authorization

     

    Must have legal authorization to work in the United States.
